A dedicated artist since childhood, Rebecka has always felt compelled to acknowledge momentary narratives from the human experience. Rebecka is graduating from NYU’s Master of Arts in Art Therapy program in May 2026. She has worked therapeutically through art with individuals in acute medical care, adults with intellectual and neurocognitive disabilities, adolescents in school-based settings, and individuals navigating identity development, prolonged hospitalization, and end-of-life care.
Rebecka believes all humans have the capcaity for creativity and self-agency through art. She finds herself drawn to and inspired by community and others.
As an abstract expressionist, Rebecka takes a processes focused approach to artmaking rather than a product based mindset.
With academic and lived application of materials from anciet weaving practices to contemporary digital art and animation, Rebecka has dedicated her life to understanding their diverse applicaitons.
Each day is a day for creation. Whether it be physical, performative, personal, therapeutic or public, Rebecka aims to create art every day.
